Catherine Mitrano (Cathy)
Cathy brings more than 35 years' experience working with seven different agencies at the highest levels of the Federal Government in legal, leadership, and strategic program management roles. She recently retired as Acting General Counsel of the Department of Veterans Affairs where she directed an 800+ member law practice and provided comprehensive advice and guidance to the largest integrated healthcare system in the nation.
Cathy is an expert in Diversity and Inclusion, Military and Civilian personnel, ethics and investigations and was one of the founding members of the Department of Homeland Security. She was a member of the federal Senior Executive Service, the Asian American Government Employees Network and was awarded the highest honors bestowed by both the Department of the Army and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Cathy was also featured in Boston University School of Law's anniversary commemoration book, "150 People, Places and Precedents."
